Back to familiar ground

After we enjoyed a breakfast that was the equal of last night’s dinner (without  the Maple Leaf ice cream) we moved towards packing and were soon heading back onto Highway 3 for the continuation of our westward journey. Knowing that we were going to be in the ExTerrestrial for a while we sat back and enjoyed the southern British Columbia scenery which basically consists of abruptly rugged mountains and foaming roaring rivers followed by abruptly rugged mountains and foaming roaring rivers!!

Subway provided an easy lunch at the amazingly expanded Osoyoos. Water and wine and a celebration of the First Nation culture certainly are attractive in Canada!!

Not enough time even for one tasting tho and we were like Willy Nelson “on the road again” and you know the story…abruptly rugged mountains and foaming roaring rivers followed by abruptly rugged mountains and foaming roaring rivers!!

Just to break the sequence for a bit, the sky darkened, the temperature dropped and the wind blew and…………….
the Rain Bucketed Down!!!

Then as soon as the rain came down it went and the roads were bone dry!

Then! Just to break the sequence for a bit, the sky darkened, the temperature dropped and the wind blew and…………….
the Rain Bucketed Down!!!
Then as soon as the rain came down it went and the roads were bone dry!

Beautiful British Columbia was reminding us of how we loved its weather. Indeed if you don’t like the weather just wait a while!

Passing Manning Park Ski area brought back pleasant memories of 2007 when the Educator and the littlest Frosty went skiing with the Exchange Teachers.

Reaching Hope BC gave us a much better road,  the Trans Canada Highway and it wasn't too long before we were passing the familiar houses and over the familiar potholes of our 2007 home town of Fleetwood (Surrey) British Columbia. That year was a great year for the Educator and the Apiarist and, in part, gave us the encouragement to travel. And it gave us some wonderful friends. Thanks Shelley & Joanna
